Efektivitas Pemberian Monosodium Glutamat Dan Dosis Pupuk Organik Terhadap Pertumbuhan Kacang Hijau (Vigna Radiatus L)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of monosodium glutamate and organic cow manure doses on the growth and yield of mung bean (Vigna Radiatus L). The research was carried out in Gang Gelatik, Tamantirto, Kasihan District, Bantul Regency. The time of the research was carried out from February to May 2022. This research was carried out in the form of an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was monosodium glutamate nutrition, which consisted of three levels, namely control, 6.6 g/polybag and 8.2 g/polybag. For the second factor, the dose of organic cow manure consisted of three levels, namely Control, 662 g/polybag and 828 g/polybag. With 9 treatment combinations and each treatment combination repeated three times to obtain 27 treatment plots, each treatment contained 10 polybags so that 270 polybags of mung bean were obtained. The results showed that the use of monosodium glutamate and organic fertilizers had a significant effect on plant height, flowering age, number of leaves, number of fruit and seed weight. However, there was no significant difference in the observations of root length, stem diameter, wet weight, and dry weight. The interaction between the treatment using monosodium glutamate and organic fertilizer occurred in the observation of plant height obtained from the MSG dose of 8.2 g/polybag/5kg/ha, and the dose of organic fertilizer 828 g/plolibag. Meanwhile, the number of leaves was obtained from the MSG dose of 8.2 g/polybag, and the dose of organic fertilizer 828 g/polybag. Based on the results of the analysis of variance that the MSG dose of 8.2 g/polibag, and the dose of organic fertilizer with a dose of 828 g/plolibag, showed the best results on the growth and yield of mung bean including plant height, number of leaves, flowering age, number of fruit and seed weight.
